Booking far ahead of time & short notice are both equally welcome based on availability.
A 50% deposit & a very basic contract are required to book & secure your date. The remaining 50% of your balance is due 30 days before your event date (& if you are booking within 30 days of your event date 100% of your balance is due upon booking).
You can book directly through my site HERE. I accept checks, credit cards or Paypal. Once I receive your deposit & signed contract, your reservation is confirmed & your event goes in my calendar.
I use high quality professional grade studio lighting equipment while shooting on-location. I celebrate gorgeous natural light & also use a dynamic range of lighting modifiers depending on what each unique situation calls for. I also travel with backup gear in case technology glitches when we least expect it. I come prepared.
Having an assistant with me onsite really helps facilitate high quality photography because they help me with sophisticated studio lighting equipment & optimizing possibilities.

No. I believe post-processing is a huge part of the creative vision so I personally handle all of the images from start to finish.
Your gallery will be accessible online within 30 days of your event or sooner. Once it is up, it will be available for viewing, sharing & print ordering for 30 days. Your gallery is password protected & you are welcome to share your gallery with family & friends.
Standard edits include culling (removing universally unflattering images), cropping, basic color correction & tone balancing. A select group of your photos will additionally receive signature editing. Signature edits feature more detailed retouching, as well as creative tonal & environmental enhancements, to become further stylized & enriched works of art.
Yes! I offer a variety of inspiring ways to preserve & display your art for generations to come. I source from some of the highest quality professional print labs in the U.S. From canvas to metal prints, different framing & mounting options, there are a lot of stunning possibilities. A print release is included on every usb drive (or emailed directly) & gives my Clients permission to make an unlimited number of prints for personal use at any printing lab of your choice.
Yes consider yourself covered. I secure permits with the State of Hawaii for commercial photography at approved beaches & state parks per regulations. I also have liability insurance which is required by the State of Hawaii & requested by some resorts & private estates. Additional permit fees & considerations are only applicable for Historic Sites or National Parks.
No travel fee for any south, west, upcountry or north shore Maui photo destination. Clients can request multiple locations within 10 miles of each other within a single session. Please inquire about travel fees for Hana, neighboring islands & any other destinations worldwide.
Fortunately I've had a lot of good luck with weather. There have been many situations where it seemed like we might get rained out but the weather instantaneously cleared up for us. Since the weather is not something we can control, it’s always a great form of insurance to plan your event at a location where it is possible to relocate inside. Another scenario is relocating to a different area with better weather. Maui is made up of many micro-climates so sometimes weather changes quickly & is different in nearby pockets. Clouds & overcast weather actually make very flattering photographic light but if we get rained out, & are not able to relocate, we will reschedule at no cost.
Products or services rendered to Clients while geographically in the State of Hawaii will be charged Hawaii General Excise Tax (4.166%).
